The "bizarre stealth operations" is a way to get free advertising. The official GW site is only read by current players, and not even all of those.

Yep, that's why it's called USA instead of tUSoA. Stop reaching. Nice observation wacked_1. I didn't think of it that way.

hahaha thats a fake....*murmur....Okay so we could possibly see some interestin and unprecedented changes but hell i knew there was a sequel from DEVONA's story in the first game. They dont make something like that not to finish it.
I know some of it may seem a bit off or farfetch'd some might think...and as much as i dont want to say it or even believe it...Is this what the gamers really want? Or is this something that will cause massive concerns for the future of GW's.
Myself personally would like to see a 4th game. But would rather stick with humans than creatures..Can anyone truely picture seeing tengu or Charr or even this Asurian race bouncing around shing jea? No way. The game's mechanics would be one jumbled, digital mess.
But as they have said its just rumors and speculation. So i guess we will just have to wait and see what becomes of it.
Till then happy hunting.

I just learned that the Minipet is really the god Dhuum and will be the boss used for the next 20 GW chapters as well as GW2-9. Also the title Eye of The North refers to the left eye of the creature where the entire 4th through 9th chapter will take place via shrink ray.

One can also assume from his quote that since PvP was designed to be played after you've done PvE, the goal was to get people to play PvE, and once they've beaten the game, move on to PvP. So PvE could be considered PvP "training," only meant to be played until it's beaten :P
My point: Screw whatever the playerbase thinks GW was "supposed" to be and instead care about what it is now and will be in the future.
As for the speculation on the next chapter...here are my opinions:
C4 = Guild Wars: Eye of the North - Probably true
150 new skills - might be, might not be.
50 of those PvE-only - I doubt there would be that many, but I can see more PvE-only skills than NF gave us.
Requires another game to play - Doubt it
Guild Wars 2 - Doubt it
New playable races - doubt it.
New races - likely.
EDIT: "Quote" button messed up, caused a quote tag and another quote tag. Fixed it.

Sorry, I just had to throw this in. Perhaps one should consider the reasoning behind the elusive "hard mode". That should get the wheels in your head turning...hmm...

We can presume that anywhere from today to Thursday (the fifteenth), we will start seeing issues be in the hands of subscribers.
All to be known very soon...and by the Five Gods I pray this isn't the name.

Hmm after reading ANets web site I highly doubt chp4 will be an expansion that requires one of the previous chapters to play, like the article says.
To quote from ANets site:
Quote:
ArenaNet has developed two additional self-standing games, called "campaigns".
|
They then go on to say:
Quote:
ArenaNet is currently working on a fourth campaign that will once again expand the explorable world of Guild Wars and provide ever-deepening insight into the history of that world and the stories of its people. It is scheduled for release in 2007.
|
The use of campaign to describe chp4 would imply that it too will be a self-standing game.

GW:EotN trademarkes by NCSoft
FYI: NCSoft has now trademarked the name "Guild Wars: Eye of the North". See http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Talk:Ca...Four#Trademark (I didn't see it posted above - appologies if this had already been noted).

just to add to the fun.
personal knowledge as an inlaw is ex postoffice
someone could be reading it tomorrow or maybe a week after the 15th it hasnt shown up yet.
they are sent periodical rate not first class and were in the system a week ago.
the goal (seldom met) is to have at least 50% delivered on the stated day (15th) but obviously there is a big plus/minus on that

They also trademarked the term "Guild Wars 2" (Go to http://www.uspto.gov/main/search.html then select the link for "Trademarks", then select "New User Form Search (Basic)", then enter search term "Guild Wars").
